Do you love your sins?

Let’s face it, most people love sinning. They enjoy their pride, greed, lust, or idolatry, but it keeps them separated from God, and if you are a Christian, it might be grieving the Holy Spirit.

God hates sin. He is holy and righteous. When sin entered the world, it changed its design, and because of that, life is forever difficult. We all fall short of the glory of God, and so God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for us. Jesus took the punishment for the sins we have committed and was nailed on a cross and died. The Good News is that He defeated death and Satan. He rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven, and He is preparing a place for those who believe in Him.

We need to hate our sins like God hates sin and instead strive for holiness.

“Now if your right eye is causing you to sin, tear it out and throw it away from you; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. And if your right hand is causing you to sin, cut it off and throw it away from you; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, than for your whole body to go into hell.”

Matthew 5: 29-30

“But like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because it is written: “YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY.””

1 Peter 1:15-16

God bless you.
