The PLA has no generals to command the parade?

The Chinese military is running out of leaders! Over 200 generals have fallen since Xi Jinping came to power and 44 top military leaders have been purged or missing in the past 3 years. Rumors swirl, commanders vanish, and purges ripple through the PLA. As a result, the September 3rd military parade in Beijing is without a parade marshal, who sits next to the chief commander inspecting the troops. The army is in shambles, and the silence of missing leaders tells its own story. On parade day, even the empty chair could explode.
