Alright, folks, buckle up. Today we’re diving into something called The Golden Thread. No, it’s not Gandalf’s side quest in Lord of the Rings. It’s the idea that God’s providence—His guiding hand—runs straight through American history like some divine sewing machine keeping this whole crazy quilt together. Sounds dramatic, right? Well, spoiler: it is. But it’s also hilarious when you realize just how many times America should’ve faceplanted into oblivion and somehow didn’t.”
Think of a massive tapestry. The Golden Thread is the filament that not only holds it together, but makes the whole thing shine. Without it, the fabric falls apart. With it, the design makes sense and carries value. In American history, that thread is God’s hand — sometimes in ways people saw clearly, sometimes in ways they didn’t see until later. Either way, without that thread, America doesn’t become America.

The Golden Thread. Some call it luck, some call it chance, but I say it’s God weaving His way through the tapestry of American history.
