[TEST] "Ultra Frenzy" Sleipnir-Huntsman Build/Federal Triangle Sweep #Gameplay #Division2 #TomClancy
My thoughts so far:
1) This build suffers lots of loss in damage due to not using Striker's Backpack and Coyote's Backpack. You feel the weakness at the start of fights and all throughout. Note during the battle at Navy Plaza, my character couldn't kill the enemies fast enough as they climbed from their spawn point. I usually can.
2) I thought that Frenzy would help frontload the damage of both weapons without the need for Striker stacks. Frenzy does allow for more damage upfront BUT it does not make up for the loss of damage from #1. So, initial attacks feel weak, and the enemies respond more effectively and shoot back more quickly instead of run for cover.
3) Both weapons become awkward to control. In my standard Striker build, I can laser Sleipnir at distant targets and St. Elmo's is a natural long distance laser. Unfortunately, the Huntman Famas is a poor replacement if you want accuracy. And Sleipnir becomes difficult to handle at +54% Fire Rate. It becomes a fire hose that swings wildly around.
4) Sleipnir in particular loses much of its effectiveness with the Brazos set. The talent, Perfect Frenzy, only makes sense if you can get into a combat "rhythm" with it. Having a 150 round magazine ruins that rhythm.
5) Damage reduction from the Defender Drone at Tier 4 skill level is marginally helpful at best. It helps survavibility but doesn't allow a full-on aggressive playstyle. The duration is too short.
Conclusion: A fun build, but I'm going to try these weapons with the my normal Striker setup.
The idea behind the build is maximize the power of Frenzy on both Sleipnir and Huntsman and combine them with high survivability. The NinjaBike + 2 Brazos armors increase magazine capacity by 50% which is a giant boost to damage on weapons with Frenzy. Frenzy boost allows you to frontload the damage bonuses rather than stack them purely through Striker's. They also give +4 total for a defensive skill such as the Defender Drone or even the new Smart Cover skill.
I think the build looks great on paper. However, I suspect it might not perform very well because at this fire rate both weapons aren't easy to aim and control, but I'll give the build a few tries.
