I. CHAPTER 44 - JOSEPH'S PLAN
A. Joseph had a plan to cause his brothers to confess the sin they committed when they sold him into slavery. Verses 1-2
1. The purpose of the plan was threefold:
2. The plan unfolds. Verses 4-12
3. The brothers are convicted and confess. Verses 16-34

II. CHAPTER 45 - THE REVELATION OF JOSEPH
A. Joseph reveals himself to his brothers. Verses 1-4
1. Joseph DID NOT reveal himself to his brothers
UNTIL they acknowledged and confessed their sin of rejecting him. Verse 4
2. The nation of Israel cannot fellowship with Christ UNTIL
they confess their sin of rejecting Him.
3. Neither can we as individuals fellowship with Christ, our Joseph, UNTIL we confess and repent.
B. Joseph COMFORTS his brothers. Verses 5-8
1. Joseph declares God's purpose in all things that had
happened to him. "GOD DID SEND ME...TO PRESERVE LIFE." Verse 5
2. Joseph declares that God sent him to Egypt to PRESERVE
Abraham's seed for a posterity. Thus, the seed that will
produce Christ in the flesh is PRESERVED. Verse 7
3. Joseph declares that God sent him to Egypt to become ruler of the land. Verse 8
C. Joseph prepares for Jacob to come to Egypt. Verses 9-15
1. Joseph instructs his brothers to return to Canaan and bring
Jacob to Egypt.
