Why Biden in 2021 would consider the Republican Party be gone

Joe Biden scoffed when asked during a press conference in March 2021 whether he expects to run for reelection against President Trump in 2024. He suggested the GOP might not even exist by then.

"Oh, come on. I don't even think about — I have no idea," Biden said when asked whether he'll be facing off against Trump. "I have no idea if there will be a Republican Party. Do you?"
