A high-flying meeting

An anecdote stemming from the chill of the Cold War, retold in this recording from 1990 by Yuri Nikulin, a beloved Soviet actor, the People's Artist of the USSR in the truest sense of this title. He dedicated his life to making people smile, in films, on stage and in circus — Moscow circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard is carrying his name.

Yuri Nikulin was a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, and during the Battle for Moscow he was a sergeant in the air defence forces, and after the War he came up with the idea to mark Moscow Sky Defender s' Day (https://t.me/BeornAndTheShieldmaiden/15541).

As such, this anecdote sounds even more special in this day and age, being told by Yuri Nikulin.
