Smart Meters were supposed to save us money as well as all the solar wind infilstructure. It was a spy they installed in all of our homes, not to mention its not grounded properly and becomes a bomb attached to your home.
It also allows them to selectively shut it off when they like or possibly allow others to hack the system. The health affects are also very concerning.

Electricity bills of MAGA Americans are skyrocketing and water reserves are dwindling, yet Big Tech giants like OpenAI, Meta, and Amazon are thriving.
They’ve secured billions in tax breaks while you foot the bill through higher rates and taxes to power their AI servers.
Chat GPT's true cost goes far beyond its $20 monthly subscription: consumers are shouldering $9.3 billion in increased electricity costs.
In this video, it exposes the real reasons behind the skyrocketing electricity prices and show you how this growing crisis continues to change lives in MAGA America.
Private equity firms like BlackRock and Blackstone are acquiring U.S. electric utilities, raising concerns about monopolistic control and skyrocketing electricity rates.
Historical examples, such as California’s 2000–2001 energy crisis, demonstrate how privatization can lead to price gouging, rolling blackouts, and market manipulation for profit.
Critics warn that these acquisitions exploit political influence, labor allies, and clean energy groups to advance deals, while leaving consumers with limited recourse and higher costs.

Federal judge blocks part of embattled Texas transmission law
The decision comes after an appeals court found that the Texas measure violated the dormant commerce clause.
state law passed as S.B. 1938 is a Texas state law that gave incumbent utilities a "right of first refusal" (ROFR) to build new electric transmission lines in their service areas.
https://legiscan.com/TX/bill/SB1938/2019
The judgment issued Monday permanently blocks the Public Utility Commission of Texas from enforcing the 2019 "right of first refusal" — or ROFR — law in areas of the state not covered by the Electric Reliability Council of Texas, the state’s main grid operator.

Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick: Statement on the Unanimous Passage of Senate Bill 6 — Increasing Texas’ Electric Grid Reliability
Here are the reasons why your electric bill doubled or tripled and will continue to rise since 2021:
Infrastructure Modernization:
Michigan's aging energy grid requires significant upgrades, leading to inefficient energy delivery and higher maintenance costs.
Increased Regulation and Taxes made Fossil Fuels more expensive.
These expenses are passed on to consumers in the form of higher rates.
The Biden Administration's Green Energy Policies:
Contributing to a reduction in American Natural Gas production & closure of reliable Fossil Fuel generated Power Plants.
Tax on methane emissions:
The administration has proposed a tax on methane emissions, up to $1,500 per ton.
Restrictions on fossil fuel leasing: The Biden Administration has restricted fossil fuel leasing on public lands and offshore areas.
• Reduced investment in new LNG projects: The pause on new LNG export facilities has led to uncertainty and potentially reduced investment in new projects. This pause affected several proposed projects, including:
Venture Global's Calcasieu Pass 2 LNG export terminal and pipeline project in Louisiana, estimated at $10 billion.
• Increased Demand: Growing demand from data centers, artificial intelligence, and electrified transportation contributes to higher electricity costs. Data centers are expected to consume 9% of U.S. electricity by 2030, nearly double today's share.
Grid Upgrades and Maintenance: Utilities spend billions to harden the grid against extreme weather events, and these investments are reflected in customer rates.
Windmill Costs:
• Small-scale wind turbines (residential use):
○ 1-10 kW: $3,000 to $30,000 per turbine
○ Installation costs: $500,000 to $1,500,000 (including foundation, grid connection and site preparation)
• Large-scale wind turbines (commercial use):
○ Can range from $1.2 million to $2.5 million per turbine (including installation)
○ Wind farm setup costs: $500,000 to $1 million per turbine
Solar Farm Costs:
• Small-scale solar farms (residential or small community projects):
○ 50 kW to 1 MW: $400,000 to $1.6 million (total installed cost)
○ Cost per watt: $0.80 to $1.60
• Large-scale solar farms (utility-scale installations):
○ Can exceed 5 MW and cover 20 acres or more
○ Total installed cost: $4 million to $8 million or more
Ongoing Costs:
• Wind farm maintenance: $20,000 to $40,000 per year (routine inspections and repairs)
• Solar farm maintenance: $10,000 to $40,000 per year (cleaning, inspections and minor repairs)
Insurance: $6,000 to $20,000 per year for solar farms, and 1-3% of turbine value annually for wind farms
Federal Incentives:
• Residential Clean Energy Credit: 30% federal tax credit for homeowners who install solar panels, applicable to systems installed between 2022 and 2032. This credit can save you around $6,000 on a $20,000 solar panel system.
• Energy Storage Tax Credit: 30% tax credit for battery storage systems designed to support solar access in low-income and disadvantaged communities.
• Dependence on External Energy: Michigan's reliance on energy from other states makes residents vulnerable to price fluctuations in external markets, increasing transportation and distribution costs.
Regulatory and Operational Costs: Utility companies face rising costs for fuel, labor, and regulatory compliance, which are then passed on to consumers.
Additionally, Michigan-specific factors include:
Inflation Reduction Act: The Inflation Reduction Act aims to transform Michigan's economy and clean energy future, with over $26 billion invested in clean energy projects and manufacturing.
Clean Energy Investments: The Act has secured funds for Michigan to put its MI Healthy Climate Plan into action, focusing on renewable energy sources like wind and solar power. While this plan aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, critics argue it will increase electricity costs for Michiganders, with estimated costs ranging from $124.3 billion to $385.7 billion through 2050.
• Renewable Energy Goals: Michigan's push for net-zero emissions and increased renewable energy usage may contribute to higher electricity bills. Governor Gretchen Whitmer's executive directive mandates the state achieve net-zero CO2 emissions by 2050, which could lead to increased costs for ratepayers.
Utility Rate Hikes: Consumers Energy & DTE’s proposed rate increase aims to enhance infrastructure, improve reliability, and invest in clean energy initiatives, which may contribute to higher bills.
All these and more have contributed to your skyrocketing Electric Bill.
The average price of residential electricity in the U.S. is about 17.47 cents per kilowatt-hour (kWh), as of August 2025, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA).
This is a national average, and rates vary significantly by state, with Hawaii having the highest prices and Idaho having some of the lowest.
In Pennsylvania specifically, the average rate is around 12.37 cents/kWh for residential customers.
New Jersey's electric bills are soaring due to a combination of surging energy demand, largely from data centers for AI, and a limited, aging supply of power generation.
A recent capacity market auction in the PJM power grid, which
New Jersey relies on, set higher prices for electricity, with these costs being passed directly to consumers.
Factors contributing to the supply crunch include the shutdown of older fossil fuel plants, delays in new renewable energy projects like offshore wind, and general supply chain issues.
Key Reasons for High Electric Bills
Data Center Growth:
The explosive growth of artificial intelligence (AI) data centers is a primary driver of increased electricity demand in the region, with one report citing them as accounting for about 70% of projected demand growth, according to NJPP.
Limited Supply & Aging Grid:
The power supply has struggled to keep pace with this increased demand, partly due to the closure of older power plants and disruptions in adding new, clean energy projects to the grid.
PJM Capacity Market:
New Jersey's electricity supply is managed by PJM, the regional grid operator. In an annual capacity market auction, utility companies purchase power capacity to meet future demand. Higher demand in the auction, driven by the supply-demand imbalance, led to significantly higher electricity costs that are passed on to consumers.
Statewide Trends:
The rise in rates reflects a broader trend of rising electricity prices across the nation due to similar supply and demand pressures.
Now, thanks to the tax bill that President Trump signed into law on July 4,
THEY ARE TRYING TO BLAME IT ON TARRIFS
Electricity bills have increased almost 10% since the start of the year and could rise another $170 per year for households by 2035 thanks to the repeal of clean energy tax credits, new tariffs and rapid expansion of electricity-hungry data centers to fuel a boom in artificial intelligence, multiple reports have shown.
A 2023 ruling by a panel of judges from the First Court of Appeals in Houston stated that big power companies are not responsible for failing to provide electricity during the 2021 winter storm (Winter Storm Uri).
The court found that the state's deregulated energy market,
which legally separates power generation from transmission and retail sales, means generator companies have no obligation to supply power to homes and businesses during emergencies.
This ruling protects the companies from liability for the failures that occurred during the crisis.
