TRUMP : Iran is not winning this war.

On June 16, 2025, during a meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney at the G7 summit in Canada, Trump stated:

“Iran is not winning this war, and they should talk, and they should talk immediately before it’s too late.”

Multiple outlets including Anadolu Agency and Time reported that Trump emphasized Iran was losing in its conflict with Israel and called for immediate negotiations.

The following day, June 17, he repeated his assessment before the G7 officially began, again asserting that “Iran is not succeeding in its current conflict.”

Trump maintained that Israel was performing effectively in the conflict and implied Iran was at a disadvantage.

These remarks preceded a shift in U.S. involvement: just a few days later, on June 21, President Trump authorized U.S. airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, marking a significant escalation in the conflict.
