Coin

Think of this as a coin.

If we look at one side, we might call it anxiety or restlessness. For example, we might say, "I’m crying because I’m sad."

However, from another perspective, it's the same experience — nothing has changed, only the interpretation. What was anxiety could become "I’m excited," and what was sadness could become "I’m happy." It just feels unfamiliar, so I don’t know what to call it. I think I'm sad, but actually I'm happy.

What you might call restlessness could be "I'm full of life" from another perspective. "I'm full of life energy! I’m alive! I want to live. I want to engage with life and live fully."

Then you choose. You choose which side to take.

As a famous person once said, "All roads lead nowhere." In his world, that was true. So, if all roads lead nowhere, he advised choosing the one with heart. That was his approach. In my case, I suggest you choose what you want.

It's your choice and you choose. You can judge yourself and obsess over labels — one today, another tomorrow — or you can do something completely different.

The moment we start judging—"I'm not going to say this because it might be perceived as... whatever"—we stop showing up. We’re not engaged, not connected, and not fully living.
