Located in Kampung Raja, Besut, about 4–6 km from Kuala Besut town, which is also the gateway to the Perhentian Islands.
Easily accessible by car, with parking available near the hiking starting point. Facilities like toilets and food/drink stalls are also provided at the foothill.
🏞️ Features & Attractions
The hill’s height ranges from 140–346 meters, making it a moderately challenging but family-friendly hike.
Hiking trail length: around 2.3 km (circular route), typically taking 20–60 minutes to reach the summit depending on fitness level.
There are three entry points:
The main stairway trail (longest & most challenging).
A shorter back route (fastest).
A lesser-known southern route.

From the summit and along the trail, visitors enjoy breathtaking views of the South China Sea and nearby islands like Perhentian Islands.
A cliff-edge wooden walkway leads to sea caves inhabited by bats, accessible at low tide.

Practical Tips Details
Best time to visit Early morning (6:30–9:00 AM) for cool weather and sunrise views; or late afternoon (4:30–6:30 PM) for sunset.
What to bring Hiking shoes, drinking water, hat/sunscreen, camera, flashlight (if hiking late), and a bag for rubbish.
Safety The initial part of the hike is steep and slippery — ropes are provided. Be careful at cliff edges.
Wildlife Watch out for monkeys near the foothill. You may also spot birds, squirrels, and monitor lizards along the trail.
