Isaiah LXX (Segment Six): Jesus the King VS Jesus the Hippy

For decades, the Church has quietly tolerated a distortion, one that recasts Jesus as a peace loving mascot rather than a sovereign King.

In this penultimate installment of the Foundation Scroll series, we confront the rise of Jesus the Hippy, trace its cultural roots, and expose the theological cost of embracing a counterfeit Christ.

From the counterculture revival of the 1960s to today’s self help spirituality, this soft focus Jesus comforts but never commands. Hugs, but never rebukes. He’s palatable, popular… and powerless to save.

But Scripture paints a different picture:
- A King who rules with justice
- A Judge who separates sheep from goats
- A Lord before whom every knee will bow

This isn’t about tone, it’s about truth. Because salvation isn’t sentimental. It’s allegiance.
If you’ve followed the feel-good Jesus, there’s still time. The real Jesus, Lion and Lamb, Judge and Redeemer, still calls your name.

Next week, we conclude with the mystery of the Trinity. But today, we draw the line.

Premieres tonight at 8PM EST.
