Iconic and world famous Elvis personal items, long held in private collections, were shared with the public at the Westgate Las Vegas for less than 48 hours during the anniversary celebration of the opening night of his legendary 636 Vegas show residency, July 31, 1969. The date was celebrated by a one-time live show re-creating the historical concert, ''1969 Live Concert: The King Returns", held in Westgate's (formerly the International) famed showroom, with attendees wearing circa 1969 fashion- many colorful miniskirts and white go-go boots for women, and proper Las Vegas neckties for men. This museum, featuring several items from the extensive Presley collection of Memphis' Larry and Judy Moss, was set up in the Westgate's front desk area; most of the items may not be seen in public again unless perhaps they someday go up for auction. Imagine Elvis coming back and seeing his stuff behind and under glass.
