Big Block Modifieds at Kern

A National career race at Kevin Harvick's Kern Raceway on Expert difficulty. The track surface moderately smooth with some bumps in the entry to turn 1. This track is a bit narrow, especially on the front stretch and going into turn 1, so maneuverability around traffic can be tricky. The track does get slick through the middle after Qualifying, but can still get decent traction on the black. I find the bottom fastest all night. Watch the berms and entry to turn 1, as they will upset the car. Also the opening in the back stretch wall gives a false sense of extra room.

A very good race with 2 cautions. The first caution came as Larry Wight drove into my left rear, resulting in him spinning out. The 2nd caution came as Felix Roy and Adam Pierson came together, with Roy spinning. Generally traffic navigation was very good. I did bump a couple cars while navigating traffic, nothing bad though. Also scraped the wall a couple times. Overall this race was very good, a bit cleaner than I expected for this track.
