For over 15 years, Dr. Martha Tara Lee has been at the forefront of advancing sexual wellness, relational health, and inclusive care across Asia. As Singapore’s first Clinical Sexologist with a Doctorate in Human Sexuality, she has championed a vision where health is not merely the absence of illness, but the presence of dignity, intimacy, and holistic well-being.

In 2009, Dr. Lee founded Eros Coaching Pte Ltd, a pioneering practice dedicated to empowering individuals and couples to lead self-actualized and fulfilling lives. Her work addresses a wide spectrum of needs—from unconsummated marriages and vaginismus to discrepancies in desire, performance difficulties, sexual shame, and intimacy challenges—always rooted in empathy, inclusivity, and professionalism. As the only AASECT Certified Sexuality Educator in Asia since 2011, and an AASECT Certified Supervisor since 2018, she has also mentored the next generation of sexuality professionals, shaping the future of clinical sexology and relationship counseling in the region.

Her influence extends well beyond private practice. As Resident Sexologist at the Singapore Cancer Society, Dr. Lee provides vital support to individuals and couples navigating the complexities of sexuality and intimacy during and after cancer treatment. At Sincere Healthcare Group, she integrates psychosocial care with medical collaboration, underscoring her holistic approach to health. Through her partnerships with digital health platforms Noah and Zoey, she has expanded access to telehealth services, ensuring that expert guidance on sexual wellness and relationships is available to all, regardless of geography or circumstance.

Dr. Lee’s advocacy is anchored in inclusivity. An ally of LGBTQIA+ and kink communities, she is a Board Member of RainbowAsia, contributing to regional conversations on queer inclusion and human rights. She also engages as an Associate Therapist at The Counselling Place and as Founder of Underneath The Moon, advancing group therapy and collective healing. Her contributions embody the values of SDG 3: ensuring health and well-being for all, with a recognition that sexuality and relationships are integral to human flourishing.

Recognized globally, Dr. Lee has been named one of Her World’s Top 50 Inspiring Women under 40 (2010), one of CozyCot’s Top 100 Inspiring Women (2011), and a Global Woman of Influence (2024). In 2025, her leadership was further acknowledged when Eros Coaching was named Most Supportive Relationship Coach at the Singapore Business Awards. As an author of four influential books, a prolific media contributor, and host of the radio program Eros Matters, she has helped break taboos, elevate public discourse, and normalize positive sexuality in mainstream culture.

What makes Dr. Martha Tara Lee an Icon of Change is not simply her pioneering achievements, but her courage to bring compassion, science, and inclusivity into some of society’s most stigmatized conversations. She demonstrates that health cannot be compartmentalized—that emotional intimacy, sexual wellness, and relational trust are inseparable from overall well-being. Her career reminds us that to heal holistically is to heal fully.

In honoring Dr. Martha Tara Lee, the Icons of Change International Awards 2025 celebrates a Trailblazer in Holistic Wellness and Inclusive Health Advocacy, in recognition of her transformative contributions to Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being. Through her leadership, practice, and advocacy, she is shaping a world where sexuality is understood as central to health, inclusivity is seen as essential to care, and every individual has the right to live with dignity, intimacy, and well-being.
