Note: Last episode to use just the short intro of "Roger Ebert & The Movies" until July, 2000 when Richard Roeper became the permanent co-host and then went back again for a while. The next episode is the very first long intro with Roger Ebert going to the movies by himself in Chicago.

Roger Ebert and Guest Critic, Joel Siegel from "Good Morning America" reviews "Man On The Moon" (A Terrific Biographical Comedy/Drama about the life and death of the beloved, talented and masterful comedian of all time, Andy Kaufman. Starring: Jim Carrey, Danny DeVito, Paul Giamatti and Courtney Love. From director, Milos Foreman.); "Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo" (It may be dumb, egregious, vulgar and grotesque. But, I laughed and was hilarious in a zany way! Rather watch this than the horrible 2005 sequel Sony and Happy Madison put out called "Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo", I guess Disney/Touchstone didn't want to deal with it at the time. Starring: Rob Schneider, Oded Fehr, Eddie Griffin, Amy Poehler, Bree Turner, Jackie Sandler, Big Boy and William Forsythe. Directed By: Mike Mitchell.) ; "Cradle Will Rock"; "The Cider House Rules" (Disagree strongly with Ebert! This was a meaningful and valuable drama with brilliant performance of Michael Caine, Toby Maguire, Charlize Theron and Paul Rudd. From director, Lasse Halstrom Based on the Book By: John Steinbeck.) ; and "The War Zone".

Video Pick of the Week: Ebert's pick is "Andy Kaufman on The Midnight Special" on VHS and DVD. And a recap on Today's program!

Recorded on KATU ABC 2 in Portland, Oregon with Commercials intact.
