Flattery serves as one of the Devil’s most potent weapons, acting as “bait” to lure people into drifting through vanity and egotism — universal human weaknesses. Women succumb to flattery about their beauty, while men fall prey through appeals to their strength and success. Cunning women employ subtle techniques like “soft cooing baby tones” and “half-closed eyes” to hypnotize and flatter male egos. Non-drifters remain immune to such manipulation.
Failure as Psychological Warfare
The Devil weaponizes failure to break morale, destroy self-confidence, and drive people toward drifting and surrender. While most people quit after few attempts, non-drifters like Edison and Ford transform failure into a “stepping stone” to success.
Propaganda’s Omnipresence
Propaganda operates as a highly effective trick for instigating wars and economic depressions. It infiltrates news, education, pulpits, movies, radio, advertising, and every business venue, subtly shaping public consciousness.
The Bribe System
The Devil gains mental entry by bribing individuals with coveted desires: love, sex, money, gambling, vanity, egotism, power, intoxicants, and food. He intensifies these desires, then snatches away the object, filling minds with fear — particularly poverty’s terror. If victims succeed, he “overfeeds” them with excesses in food, sex, gambling, and liquor, leading to drifting and impaired thinking.

Non-drifters remain interested in the “bribes” but take the “bait” without getting caught on the “hook” — they extract from life on their own terms.
Unwilling Propagandists
Those who resist bribes face mastery through fear or misfortune, becoming the Devil’s “unwilling workers” used to trap others. He prefers young propagandists due to their easier influence and longer service potential.
