Hook: Mustad R75S, #6
Thread: Danville 70 Denier, White
Flash: Krystal Flash or Flash Accent, Root Beer
Hackle: Barred Ginger
Back: Bucktail, Green
Belly: Bucktail, White
Gills: Lacquer, Red
Eyes: 1/8" flat stick-on eyes, silver
Head: Solarez

The Thunder Creek - Smallmouth Bass was developed by Keith Fulsher and is one (of many) in his Thunder Creek Series of flies. A streamer fly he developed and first published about in the 1960's. Fortunately, he updated his original book in 2005 and expanded on the style of tying. The Smallmouth Bass has a hackled tied in as part of the body to give it some of the brown(ish) color and barring in the Smallmouth Bass. I also used Solarez in the head of this as an alternative to epoxy. --Enjoy
