Why Did 100,000 People Sign This Petition?

Michigan reached 100,000 Convention of States petition signers in August, 2025. This is in support of an Article V Resolution calling for the United States Legislatures to propose amendments to the US Constitution that impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government, and limit the terms of office for its officials and for members of Congress. In the United States, our grassroots have collected over 2.7 million signatures nationally. Here is a related message from our State Director, Sarah Santana.
