Hey everyone, it’s Leaflit! Today I’m reacting to Tectone’s“Shylily Exposes Vshojo and Breaks Her Silence,” which parses Shylily’s hard-hitting video about turning down a VShojo contract. She describes clauses so restrictive that there was no exit option, subpar revenue splits, stifled creators from using lawyers—and a culture of emotional manipulation and bullying from management.

Tectone does an excellent job explaining, from his corporate-lens perspective, why all this was alarmingly unacceptable: agencies typically offer fair exit clauses and transparent revenue-sharing—VShojo did none of that. I’ll be critical of VShojo for exploiting creators, and supportive of Tectone and Shylily for exposing these rotten practices.
