The attack at the Minneapolis Catholic school was a brutal hate crime with ideological motivations. The assailant was identified as Robin Westman, a 23-year-old who had changed his name from Robert to Robin and was described as transgender.

Westman left a manifesto on YouTube before the attack and carried a rifle with the phrase “Kill Donald Trump” and a transgender flag with the inscription “Defend Equality.” These elements were cited as clear evidence that the crime had a strong political and cultural motive, beyond a simple act of violence.

While liberal and progressive media constantly talk about “hate speech,” they ignore when crimes come from ideological sectors close to them. In this case, the violence of a transgender activist has been downplayed, and these left-wing media outlets have tried to portray the attacker as a victim of the system rather than recognize him as a criminal motivated by hate.

This case is an example of the real danger of progressive extremism and shows how gender ideology and anti-Trump activism can lead to acts of domestic terrorism against religious communities and innocent children.
