Red Sonja of Dynamite comics fame, starring Matilda Lutz from director M.J. Bassett is here, but it was a long road to get to this point after her debut in the Conan comics from Marvel, and the 1985 feature starring Bridgette Nielsen ... and for a while there, we were set to recieve an updated black Red Sonja focused on identity for the modern audience! Let's look at all the false starts with Bryan Singer and Robert Rodriguez, and how we ended up with this iteration of the movie instead!
