Texas Gov. Signs 3 Bills Protecting Texans From Foreign Adversaries Like China

08/26/2025 Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signed three legislations Tuesday that he said will protect the state “against threats from hostile foreign adversaries like China, Russia and Iran”. The three bills signed into law will prohibit foreign adversaries from buying land in Texas, create a criminal offense for transnational repression and intimidation and prohibit sister city agreements with foreign adversaries.
