Went to prep this house for new tenants🏡🔑… and found 😳 the door left unlocked 👀...

Out today inspecting and preparing a home that the previous tenants just vacated. These weren’t my tenants — but from what I hear, they were great people who found a home to buy. Always good to see tenants move forward successfully.

Now, I’m taking over management of the property for the homeowner and getting ready to place new tenants ASAP. That means:
✔️ Inspecting the property after move-out
✔️ Making sure everything looks good for turnover
✔️ Leaving behind the keys for the incoming tenants

But here’s the twist… the door was left unlocked. 😳

As a property manager, that’s one of those moments where your stomach drops. Vacant homes are vulnerable, and an unlocked door could mean squatters, damage, or security issues.

Luckily, everything seemed fine today, but this is exactly why routine inspections and tight turnover procedures matter. A secure property means:

Protection for the homeowner’s investment

Safety for future tenants

Peace of mind for everyone involved

👉 This was almost a smooth, routine day… until it wasn’t. Property management is always full of surprises!

Let’s Go! 💪
