The Netherlands is building a neighborhood where every car must be shared.

Utrecht is building the Netherlands' largest car-free suburb—Merwede—a vibrant, sustainable neighborhood replacing an industrial estate. The area will house 12,000 residents with 21,500 bicycle parking spaces and 250 shared cars.
