The Pueblo Revolt of 1680 | Native Defiance Against Spanish Rule

In 1680, Popé and the Pueblo people launched a coordinated uprising against Spanish colonizers in New Mexico. They killed 400 settlers, destroyed missions, and reclaimed their freedom — driving Spain out for over a decade. The Pueblo Revolt was the first successful Indigenous rebellion in North America.
