NYPD officer Cory Fisher, who was shot in a friendly-fire incident while confronting an alleged carjacker, has been released from the hospital and met with cheers and applause from fellow officers.

The suspect, Kevin Dubuisson, is a violent repeat offender who was on parole at the time of the carjacking.
