What if a Utopia Was Actually a Simulation? | A LitRPG Narration

Aethelburg is a utopia. A perfect, serene city where there is no poverty, no crime, and no conflict. For Alex, a historical archivist, life is stable, predictable, and soul-crushingly boring.

But when a near-fatal accident causes his perception of reality to shatter, he becomes the first and only glitch in the perfect simulation. He can suddenly see the world for what it is: a game. Health bars, stats, and item descriptions now overlay his vision, and he is the only one who can see them.

As he learns to navigate his new reality, gaining levels and skills in a world of NPCs, he attracts the attention of the simulation's unseen Admins. They perceive him as a virus, a dangerous anomaly that must be quarantined and deleted. Alex must learn to hack his own reality and fight for his existence, all while uncovering the profound truth behind his gilded cage.
