Borderlands 4 is Worth $200 and Will Ship 100 Million Units, Says CEO

Borderlands 4 is almost here and no one is more hype for its release than Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford. He believes the game is so stuffed full of content, it would be fair to charge $200 per copy, but his magnanimous nature would prefer it was given away to everyone could experience its magnificence.

But his delusions stretch to its sales performance in general. Believing so strongly in a product is one thing, but to reason it will rival the biggest entertainment launches in history on the back of a damaged brand like Borderlands is another. Pitchford believes this will be the installment that pushes Borderlands into the 9 digit club in units sold, but that remains to be seen.
