Donna Adelson, a 76 year old who was living in Miami Beach, is on trial for the murder of her ex son-in-law and beloved FSU Professor Dan Markel. Dan Markel was shot and killed in a murder for hire plot while Dan and Wendi, Donna's daughter, were in the middle of a tense custody battle over their two sons.
