The Russian central bank started to invest in silver in early 2025 and Saudi Arabia is now the second central bank to start investing in silver this year. Central banks typically invest in gold. Central banks have not really invested in silver since the 1850s. Will more central banks banks follow suit and start investing in silver as well? What will happen to silver price if central banks start regularly buying silver? Will silver price skyrocket? The silver market is much smaller than the gold market so silver can be more volatile than gold.
