If Asa, had a problem with an enemy, don't you think, Asa should have known by now, after a MILLION-MAN ARMY had been destroyed by God, he would feel pretty sure that God would be there for him again?

Now, when the king, once again, after 35 years of peace on every side, had another enemy, even Israel, coming against him. All he had to do was reach out to the Lord and again, ask for His help.

If King Asa had prayed, like he did the first time and he said, God help! We can't do this alone! We need you to work for us! If he had prayed that same prayer, with all His heart when confronted with Baasha’s aggression, he would have God’s blessing. Yet, King Asa did not look to and did not seek the Lord.

Let’s look at the rest of the Bible’s account of the life of King Asa, the king who forgot God.
