Title: Revelation: Singing, Seven Angels, and Seven Bowls

Text: Revelation 15:1-8

Vital Verse: “And they sang the song of Moses, the bond-servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, “Great and marvelous are Your works, O Lord God, the Almighty; Righteous and true are Your ways, King of the nations!” (Revelation 15:3).

Nugget to Nibble:
The first half of chapter fifteen highlights the praise and worship of the true and living God, who has no rival. A victorious host—those who overcame the tribulation—stand on a sea of glass holding the harps of God. With triumph in their hearts, the multitude sings the song of Moses and the Lamb (15:3). Their song does not celebrate their own redemption; every lyric exalts the One seated on the throne, who gave them strength to resist the Dragon, the Antichrist, and the False Prophet (15:3–4).
Each singer proclaims both the works of God and the titles that correspond to His deeds:
“Great and marvelous are Your works, O Lord God, the Almighty.”
“Righteous and true are Your ways, King of the nations!” (15:3).
Verse four emphasizes the universal reverence and glory due to the Lord’s name, while acknowledging His unique attributes that none other possesses:3. “For You alone are holy.”4. “All the nations will come and worship before You.”5. “For Your righteous acts have been revealed.” (15:4).
This heavenly celebration and declaration of God’s greatness prepare the way for the solemn vision of judgment that follows. The second half of chapter fifteen introduces the final series of plagues to be poured out upon the earth. The judgments of the seven seals and seven trumpets have concluded, and now the seven bowls complete the wrath of God (15:5–8). John affirms this by recording the words: “the wrath of God is finished” (15:1).
