At the time of her death, Jackson was a junior at Southeast Valley High School in Gowrie, about 7 seven miles west of Farnhamville.

Jackson had gone there on Sept. 22, 2024, riding her mother's green electric scooter. Relatives said she often made the journey to the park to listen to music while sitting on her favorite, squeaky swing.
