Hagar and Ishmael: God’s Promise Remains

In Genesis 16, Sarai, anxious about her barrenness, gives her servant Hagar to Abram. Ishmael is born, but human plans bring conflict and pain. Yet, God shows that His promise remains unshaken and that He hears the cries of the afflicted.
