Trump, Epstein & Musk: Luthmann and Volpe Clash in Explosive Current Events Showdown
The Unknown Podcast’s 52nd episode delivered fireworks as co-hosts Richard Luthmann and Michael Volpe sparred over Trump, Putin, Epstein, ActBlue, and Elon Musk in a current events segment that blended bombast, conspiracy, and sober skepticism.
The show opened with Donald Trump’s red-carpet meeting with Vladimir Putin in Anchorage. Luthmann hailed it as statesmanship: “Trump won the day…show[ing] the might of the United States on the global stage.” He called Russia “the gas station for China” and argued Trump was setting the table for a trilateral peace with Ukraine’s Zelensky. Volpe, unimpressed, blasted it as a humiliation: “Rolling out the red carpet—it’s embarrassing…Trump is right now an idiot on this.” He warned Putin was playing Trump for a fool.
The debate turned darker with Jeffrey Epstein’s death. Volpe interviewed Marty Gottesfeld, who pointed to broken cameras, missing footage, and lazy guards. Volpe admitted the failures were “inexcusable” but still called it suicide: “There’s just no evidence anyone came in.” Luthmann exploded, denouncing the DOJ’s report as a “deep state manufactured…Epstein report.” He said suicide was “humanly impossible,” insisting Epstein was incapacitated and strung up. “The deep state doesn’t wanna let people who have all the information get together,” he fumed, claiming he was barred from collaborating with Gottesfeld.
Next came Arizona Senator Mark Finchem’s “magic mortgage” money laundering allegations against ActBlue. Luthmann backed the claims, citing title companies and lawyers’ trust accounts as prime channels for illicit campaign funds. Volpe flatly dismissed it: “This is all garbage…you have to have a mortgager.” He said Finchem’s evidence would go nowhere, while Luthmann insisted foreign cash was flowing into U.S. elections through these schemes.
Finally, the duo turned to Elon Musk’s custody battle with influencer Ashley St. Clair. Volpe noted the secrecy: “Usually rich people like Musk…are able to hide their divorces.” He predicted Musk would “play hardball,” even as St. Clair claimed she was broke. Luthmann scoffed: “She should just go find another billionaire to sleep with…lightning can strike twice.”
The segment was classic Unknown: Luthmann the provocateur, Volpe the skeptic, trading blows on the biggest headlines of the week.
