Snoop Torches Woke Elements in Disney Movies | It’s Safe to Call Them Out

Rapper Snoop Dogg said in a recent podcast how he didn’t like being asked about the lesbian couple by his grandson while watching the Disney/Pixar movie Lightyear.

Pixar employees previously celebrated the inclusion of a lesbian couple in Lightyear, even battling Disney for its inclusion when executives had second thoughts about it. Naturally, Lightyear failed at the box office and has become a black mark for Pixar. Following that, Disney executives put their foot down on the inclusion of lesbian elements in Inside Out 2 and that film went on to make over $1 billion globally. Snopp Dogg’s statement is more akin to how most parents feel. They don’t want to be forced to have these types of conversation with their kids. The fact Snoop Dogg is calling this out shows how it’s more culturally safe to do so.
