Revelation 14, ep 103 The Harvest of Hope

Hi, I’m Sal Lopez Executive Director of Ozark Hunger Relief, I am doing this to hopefully find some sponsors (tax deductible donations) for an office in Prairie Grove, Ar. I have seen and fed many children who wander around here. I thought if I started a non-profit, the community would be happy to help. Nope! I’ve had nothing but suspicion, derision, denial, and was eventually ripped off for everything I had, by another food pantry. They offered to let me work with their food pantry, then when I delivered everything, I had, they told me to they couldn’t let me in their office anymore but subsequently asked me for more of my money. It has been horribly depressing, but I will persevere and get this office open.
My vision is to be a community resource center, but the main goal is to feed hungry kids, whose parents are drug addicts, and/or alcoholics. I guess some are just poor. Anyway, I need help and will advertise for you, and have signs of acknowledgement for every donor, proportionate for the donation. Remember to try to stay positive, you can choose your state of mind, so I offer this advice: Philippians 4:8
“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable if anything is excellent or praiseworthy think about such things.” Anyway, this episode is on Revelation 14. The Harvest of Hope in Revelation 14 Hello, friends! I’m so thrilled to be with you today to dive into the incredible message of Revelation 14. Now, I know Revelation can seem intense with its vivid imagery but let me tell you something: this chapter is bursting with hope, victory, and God’s unstoppable love for you! Revelation 14 shows us the Lamb standing triumphant, the gospel spreading, and God’s promise of a glorious harvest for those who trust Him. So, open your heart, grab your Bible, and let’s discover how God is working all things for your good!Let’s start with the opening of Revelation 14, where we see the Lamb, Jesus, standing on Mount Zion with 144,000 who have His name and the Father’s name written on their foreheads. This is a picture of victory! These are God’s faithful, sealed and protected by His love. Friends, this reminds us that when you belong to Jesus, you’re marked by His grace. Ephesians 1:13 tells us, “When you believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit.” Isn’t that amazing? You’re not just wandering through life you’re chosen, sealed, and set apart for God’s purpose! The sound of heaven in verse 2 is like rushing waters and a loud peal of thunder, with harps playing a new song. This is worship that shakes the heavens! It’s a reminder of Psalm 96:1, which says, “Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth.” God is inviting you to lift your voice, to praise Him even in tough times, because your worship connects you to His power. When you sing His praises, you’re declaring that no challenge is bigger than your God! Now, let’s talk about verses 6 and 7, where an angel flies across the sky, proclaiming the eternal gospel to every nation, tribe, language, and people. The angel says, “Fear God and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come.” Friends, this is good news! The gospel is unstoppable, reaching every corner of the earth. This echoes Matthew 24:14, where Jesus says, “This gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations.” God’s love is inclusive, and His message is for you, no matter where you are or what you’ve been through. He’s saying, “I see you, I love you, and I’m calling you to My side. "As we move to verses 9 through 11, we read about the consequences for those who reject God and follow the ways of the world. But here’s where the hope shines through: God doesn’t want anyone to perish. 2 Peter 3:9 says, “The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise… He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” Even in His judgment, God’s heart is to draw you closer, to invite you into His love. You don’t have to fear the future when you’re walking with Jesus, because He’s already prepared a place for you! Then we come to verse 12, a powerful call: “This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep His commands and remain faithful to Jesus.” Friends, this is your moment to shine! God is saying, “Stay faithful, keep trusting Me, and I’ll carry you through.” This connects to Hebrews 12:1, which urges us to “run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” Life may throw challenges your way, but God’s strength is in you. You’re not running alone—He’s right there, cheering you on, saying, “You’ve got this, because I’ve got you! ”The chapter closes with a vision of the harvest in verses 14 through 20. We see the Son of Man with a sickle, gathering the faithful like a farmer harvesting ripe grain. This is a picture of God’s perfect timing. John 4:35 says, “Open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.” Friends, your life is part of God’s great harvest. Every act of faith, every moment of kindness, every time you choose to trust God—it’s all building toward His eternal plan. And the best part? Revelation 21:3 promises that one day, “God Himself will be with them and be their God.” That’s the harvest you’re headed for—a forever with Jesus, where there’s no more pain, no more tears, just joy! So, what does Revelation 14 mean for you today? It’s a reminder that you’re on the winning team! The Lamb is victorious, the gospel is unstoppable, and God’s love is unshakeable. Don’t let the worries of this world steal your joy. Romans 8:37 declares, “In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” You’re not just surviving you’re thriving in God’s purpose. Keep praising, keep praying, keep trusting. Your faithfulness is planting seeds for a harvest of blessing! Let’s pray. Father, thank You for the hope of Revelation 14. Thank You that Jesus is our victorious Lamb, and we’re sealed by Your love. Help us to stay faithful, to share Your gospel, and to trust Your perfect plan. We give You all the glory, and we believe our best days are ahead. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
