Have you noticed how ministry moments never wait for our schedule or confidence to rise? Yup, sure have! That kind of readiness, actually not ready in or minds, comes from staying close to Jesus. When our heart remains open to the Holy Spirit’s leading, our ordinary day becomes a ministry opportunity.
Similar to Paul telling Timothy, our calling doesn’t take breaks. It’s a matter of being ready and wanting to serve. God may stir our heart to offer encouragement to a discouraged coworker or prompt us to pray for a stranger who didn’t ask for it. God may open a door we didn’t see coming because He’s not limited to organized outreaches. Ministry doesn’t always look polished. Sometimes, it’s messy, inconvenient, and amazingly disruptive. But one thing I have learned, when He’s in it, it doesn’t matter what it looks like to the world.
Join us Sunday morning at 7:05 as we dig deeper into His word and prepare for the His call to ministry.
