Directed by Terry Gilliam and Terry Jones with writing credits going to John Cleese, Eric Idle, Terry Gilliam, Terry Jones, Michael Palin and Thomas Malory, Monty Python and the Holy Grail was given its wide release in the United Kingdom on May 25, 1975 by Michael White Productions and Python (Monty) Pictures and became a worldwide hit.
