God Shows You the End — But Not the Battles in Between

When God gives you a promise, He shows you the end from the beginning—the baby in your arms, the ministry launched, the business flourishing. What He doesn’t show you up front are the battles, the delays, or the dry heaves of the process—it’s not because He’s hiding it, but because the joy of the outcome will overshadow the pain of the journey. Just like Jesus said, “a woman forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world.” So when you hit that distress phase and think, “Wait, this isn’t what I saw,” don’t panic—that pressure is simply revealing your current level of skill, maturity, and faith. The Word is full of clues about the process—God isn’t trying to trick you, He’s trying to grow you into the person who can carry the promise.
