The War of the Kings and the Priest of the Most High God

In Genesis 14 we find the first war recorded in the Bible: a battle of four kings against five. During the conflict, Lot, Abraham’s nephew, is taken captive. With courage and faith, Abraham gathers his men, defeats the mighty kings, and rescues Lot. On his return, he meets Melchizedek, king of Salem and priest of the Most High God, who blesses him. This chapter highlights God’s faithfulness, Abraham’s bravery, and the significance of divine blessing.
