Isaac Clarke is an everyman engineer on a mission to repair a vast mining ship, the USG Ishimura, only to discover something has gone horribly wrong. The ship's crew has been slaughtered and Isaac’s beloved partner, Nicole, is lost somewhere on board.

Now alone and armed with only his engineering tools and skills, Isaac races to find Nicole as the nightmarish mystery of what happened aboard the Ishimura unravels around him. Trapped with hostile creatures called Necromorphs, Isaac faces a battle for survival, not only against the escalating terrors of the ship but against his own crumbling sanity.

Chapter 10 – End of Days:
Isaac ventures into the Crew Deck, where he comes face-to-face with the true horror of the Marker’s influence — Unitologist fanatics who worship the Necromorph outbreak as divine. Searching for a way to reach the Executive Shuttle, he discovers Dr. Kyne, who believes the Marker must be returned to Aegis VII to stop the nightmare. Isaac is forced to fight through swarms of Necromorphs and deranged survivors while recovering the shuttle’s navigation key. By the end, a fragile alliance forms with Kyne, though Kendra’s distrust casts an ominous shadow.

Chapter 11 – Alternate Solutions:
Working with Dr. Kyne, Isaac prepares the shuttle to transport the Marker back to the planet’s surface. Their plan takes a tragic turn when Kyne is murdered by Kendra, who reveals she’s been following a secret agenda all along. Isaac must fend off relentless Necromorph attacks while installing the Marker onto the shuttle, all while Nicole continues guiding him with cryptic reassurances. With no other choice, Isaac takes the shuttle to Aegis VII, still unaware of just how deep the Marker’s hold runs.

Chapter 12 – Dead Space:
Isaac lands on Aegis VII and uses the Marker to pacify the Necromorph infestation, placing it on its pedestal to halt the outbreak. But Kendra’s betrayal reaches its peak as she reveals the chilling truth: Nicole has been dead the entire time, and the woman guiding Isaac was a hallucination created by the Marker. Before she can escape with the Marker, Kendra is killed by the Hive Mind, forcing Isaac into a brutal final battle against the towering beast. After a desperate fight, he defeats the Hive Mind and barely escapes, ending the nightmare — but the Marker’s lingering influence hints that the horror is far from over.
