Seated row with a wide, parallel grip is very helpful to target the rear delt. Many people that experience shoulder pain and there is nothing structurally wrong with the shoulder. Have someone like myself who skilled in assessing to find what group of muscles are not working they way they are supposed to. It's not always the rotator cuff group but sometimes it it is. Most people are very weak in the posterior chain (backside muscles) from sitting at desks or rounding a good portion of the day.
