I am Candice Patton, an American actress best known for playing Iris West on the CW’s The Flash, which ran from 2014 to 2023. I was born on June 24, 1988, in Jackson, Mississippi, and grew up in Plano, Texas. My passion for acting led me to Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, where I earned a degree in theatre.

Early in my career, I landed a recurring role on the BET comedy-drama The Game (2006–2015) and made guest appearances on shows like Grey’s Anatomy, CSI: Miami, and Entourage. My big break came when I joined The Flash as Iris West, a key character and Barry Allen’s love interest. I also appeared as Iris in other Arrowverse series, including Supergirl, Batwoman, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
