For a rapid descent. 😱 Cool guys, what can I say. 👍

As far as I know, among Russian and Soviet aircraft, engaging reverse in the air just before touching down on the runway was allowed on planes like the Tu-154, Yak-40, Il-62 to reduce landing roll.

Technically, this capability also exists on the Il-76 - both with D-30 engines and PS-90, and I think, if necessary, pilots can perform such maneuvers.
