*** Please note: There's been an intermittent problem with Rumble in which the audio cuts out near the end despite the mp4 file being complete. If you experience this, you can find the remainder of the Commentary in the transcript noted below. Rumble tells me they are looking into this problem A MONTH AFTER FIRST REPORTING IT. ***

A critical incident in the wilderness wandering of Israel during the Exodus occurred not long after the Twelve Spies returned from the land of Canaan bringing their bad report. God told them that for their complete lack of trust in Him, the congregation of Israel would now have wait forty years to enter the Promised Land. Worse, all the adults who left Egypt would perish during that time and only their children would enter Canaan, i.e. the children they lamented would become prey. Naturally the Israelites proceeded to attempt to thwart God’s Word by going up into the hill country of Canaan on their own initiative. The inhabitants, having no fear because God wasn’t with them, chased them out. God then gave the Israelites some commands regarding both unintentional and intentional sin. It should be no surprise that certain people didn’t listen well and learn the lesson of deliberately acting against the will of God.
