Cooking with Maw - Episode 5: Pineapple Upside-down Cake & Boiled Crabs

Maw has taken over the stream! We're back in the kitchen and Maw is ready to get her cooking on! Its time to get our yummy on as she teaches us to cook some Pineapple Upside-down Cake and Boileed Crabs

Pineapple Upside-down Cake Ingredients:

1/4 Cup of Butter or Margarine
1 Can of Pineapple Slices (Drain & reserve 2 Tbls. of juice)
2/3 Cup of Brown Sugar
1 Cherry for each Pineapple Slice
1 Cup of Grandulated Sugar
1/3 Cup of Shortening
3/4 Cup of Milk
1 1/2 Tsp. of Baking Powder
1 Tsp. of Vanilla
1/2 Tsp. of Salt.
1 Egg

Pineapple Upside-down Cake Instructions:

Heat butter or margarine until melted & pour into 9in. baking pan. Stir reserved Pineapple juice into butter. Sprinkle evenly with brown sugar. Place pineapple slices in pan & place a cherry in each slices center. In a large bowl mix sugar, flour, shortening, baking powder, milk, vanilla, salt & egg. Mix until well blended. Pour over pineapples in baking pan & bake in heated oven at 350 degrees until done (approx. 30min). Stick a toothpick in the center to make sure its done, toothpick should come out clean.

Boiled Crabs Ingredients:

Large Pot for Boiling
Half a Pot of Water
1 Cup of Zatarin's Seasoned Crab Boil (Add extra if needed)
2 Dozens of Crabs

Boiled Crabs Instructions:

Place pot of water on stove with high heat until water starts to boil & add in the Zatarin's crab boil. Add crabs into boiling water. Once the water begins boiling again, time & cook for 15min. Turn fire off after 15min. & let the crabs soak for 10min. After soaking is done remove the crabs & place in a pan.
