Tu-214 is back in the sky

The video shows the recently restored Tu-214, which was returned to the fleet by the airline Red Wings.

The Tu-204 and its modification Tu-214 are Soviet and Russian medium-range narrow-body passenger aircraft, developed in the late 1980s at the Tupolev Design Bureau to replace the Tu-154.

The Tu-204/214 uses Russian PS-90A engines, features an electro-hydraulic control system, an electronic digital engine control system, equipment units with digital computers, and other innovations not used in previous generation aircraft.

Although airlines previously rejected the aircraft due to its low economic efficiency, now, amid sanctions, the Tu-214 is experiencing a renaissance. According to the state program, the construction of 70 Tu-214 airliners is planned by 2030.

Overall, the aircraft is very interesting and has great potential for modernization.
