Star Trek's Cosmic Quest for a Creator, Recycled with a Bigger Budget

The 1970's saw a rush of science fiction. There was Logan's Run, Alien, Star Trek the Animated Series, and of course, Star Wars - the one which resurrected Star Trek and launched it on to the silver screen.
Star Trek The Motion Picture has its champions and detractors, and in this video it's my attempt to be neither - only providing an analysis.
It's been said that ST TMP is an "original", I present examples that would contradict and suggest that it's a remake of a story from the original series a decade earlier.
